THE SUN
by Diane Graebner

The sun is a ball of fire
It shines gently on the Earth
It shows when people are dying
It shows with sign of birth
The sun's God's love, as you can see
The sun shines brightly upon me!

"The Sun" was Diane's first attempt at poetry. Written in the third grade, "The Sun" launched an interest in creative writing. These next few poems are more recent examples of her work.  The poems are listed in the order in which she wrote them.  Enjoy!
